Marathon in many bites · 1 March 2018

Now anyone can do a marathon for OMS! Walk, Swim, run, or bike your way to 26 miles, over a period of a month, week, or even a day. Do your marathon your way and raise funds for OMS.

Story

Overcoming MS is a charity established to promote a positive lifestyle programme that aims to help people with MS live long, healthy lives. They are committed to improving the lives of people with MS by providing the tools to enable recovery. Overcoming MS...is possible

When I was diagnosed with my MS I was told I had an aggressive and rapidly evolving form of MS so not to expect good things for very long. I’ve been following the OMS lifestyle for three years and on March 30th I’ll have been diagnosed for 6 years. So I wanted to challenge myself to actually do a physical activity, and peddling a marathon when I can’t even walk 10 paces seems like a challenge.

During March, I’ll be climbing on my exercise bike each night, with Scott’s help because I find just getting on the bike really hard, to gradually creep towards the finish line, one minute of peddling at a time. It would be amazing if, through your support and encouragement, I manage to hit 26 miles and my fundraising target.

Thank you so much! X
