O P E R A T I O N    O C E L O T

My name is Will and I have accepted the Operation Ocelot challenge to raise enough money to save an area of rainforest the same size as our Play park in Timberscombe. 

Myself and my two sisters have measured Timberscombe play park and discovered that it is 40 metres by 40 metres. 

By putting these dimensions into the Operation Ocelot calculator on the world land trust (WLT) website, I have found out that the amount needed to save an equivalent area of rainforest in Guatemala is £220.80. 

I have always had a huge interest in animals, wildlife and conservation and it is my dream to work in this area when I am older, so this challenge is very close to my heart. 

On Saturday 27th November 2021 I am going to walk around Wimbleball Lake. I find walking long distances difficult, so walking 9 miles in one go is going to be a huge challenge for me, but I know I could do it! If I manage to raise more than my target then it will be a larger area of rainforest that will be saved.
