Story
I’m taking on 90 miles in October for Mind — and every step is for someone who feels they’ve run out of options.
As I recently shared on World Suicide Prevention Day on the 18th April this year I attempted to take my own life.
5 months later and I’m still battling with my mental health and suicidal thoughts but this October I’ve decided to take on a few challenges, one of them is to run and walk 90 miles this month! The other is to have a Sober October.
I am hoping to improve my own mental health whilst also raising money to help others get support for their mental health too.
Mind’s phone lines are the busiest they’ve ever been. In the UK 1 in 4 of us will face a mental health problem this year, yet too many still wait in silence.
Mind is often their only lifeline — on the phone, in local communities, and fighting for change so no one is left behind.
Please support my 90 miles in October challenge by donating to my fundraising page 🙏🏻Your donation will ensure that information and support is available for everyone — on Mind's website, the helplines they run and throughout their online community, Side by Side. Thank you 💙
