Kayla's The Little Princess Trust Fundraiser

The Little Princesses Trust · 29 November 2021
The season of giving is upon us, and I know after a turbulent few years we would all like to give some smiles, especially to those who need it most.
Since lockdown began, I made a conscious effort not to have my hair cut. Nobody was sure when the usual 6-8 weeks cut time would be back in full force and I wanted to avoid any "epic haircut fails", so I have just left my hair to do it's thing and not really worry about it.
As much as I absolutely love my long hair, and have never planned to cut it off, I have decided to donate my hair to The Little Princesses Trust - fourteen whole inches.
I am unable to donate to charity much this year, I thought I would try the next best thing; fundraising. Now I'm not much of an athlete or a baker, I can't tell lots of jokes or stand on my head, but what I do have is lots and lots of hair.
On Monday 29th November I am going to have 14 inches of hair cut and donate it to The Little Princesses Trust. It would be incredible if you could help me raise £100 to donate to LPT, along with my locks which will be made in to a wig for a child who has lost their hair.
I have a little girl and I can't imagine how hard it would be to watch her endure something as aggressive as cancer. But then to go through that and feel like your child has lost her place or identity would be a huge blow when you are already down. Losing your hair can feel like you aren't the person you used to be, I mean, imagine all the times you've had a dodgy haircut and not felt right. Imagine that every day - that is how much of a difference loosing hair to chemo can be, especially when you are trying to navigate the world at an early age.
When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, LPT will be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. They won't stop until the research that they fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise.
Please visit www.littleprincesses.org.uk if you would like to find out find how you can help the Little Princesses Trust, and give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers - they receive no formal funding.
If you are able to, please help me raise money for The Little Princesses Trust, so that they can help more families.
Thank you ❤️
