In April this year I will be going away volunteering for three months to Burkina Faso in West Africa to help the charity International Service.

I am going with International Citizen Service (ICS) which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I will be working along side UK volunteers and in country volunteers from the country I will be assigned to. I will be helping women, children and disabled people to have a better life as they are often declined basic human rights. ICS works with communities that have asked for help and it inspires young people like myself to go overseas and help make a difference about something we're passionate about. 

I need to raise the minimum of £800 by the 20th March 2017. The money raised will go towards supporting the work of International Service and ICS partner organisations enabling ICS to continue sending youth volunteers aged 18-25 to the developing countries to making a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.

I will also be doing other fundraising activities but any donations will be gratefully received. Any contribution from everyone will make a real difference to the lives of  individuals in developing countries.
