Story
As I am frequently informed by my friends, I am an extremely 'stubborn' person, disinclined to give up without a fight. Over the past few years, this trait has come in very useful: it's seen me through long hospital stays, surgery and regular doses of scary medications and meant that, despite these fairly significant setbacks, I'm still no quitter.
I'm proud to be stubborn, but I'm even more proud to support a charity dedicated to helping some wonderful individuals whose tenacity certainly surpasses my own: the scientists who have dedicated their lives to beating cancer. Thanks to their research, thousands of people are still around to keep on fighting.
On the 27th September, I'm being accompanied on a walk which, without treatments pioneered by Cancer Research UK, I would never have been able to take part in. It's going to be a tough slog, but it's worth it!
And here's a little note about Gift Aid (a wonderful bonus from the government!)...
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
