I am walking 22.7 miles with some of my colleagues from the Emergency Department for Maura’s Mission. Maura’s Mission aims to advance the education of academically gifted children in Malawi whose families cannot afford school fees by providing bursaries for secondary school education.
They build upon the students educational and health needs by providing a clean, healthy and safe environment where their educational and health needs can be met. They aim to break the cycle of poverty by increasing the education of the children and provide information on how best to utilise this education.
