This July my team mates Sam Harty, Suzi Nunn, Annaliese McCormack and I are taking on Race the Sun Cheddar Gorge, a tough Dawn to Dusk Adventure Triathlon challenge which will see us cycling, kayaking and /hiking the steep hills and waters of the gorge to raise funds for children's charity Action Medical Research.

This is a cause close to my heart as the charity have kindly agreed to now include funding research into the extremely rare genetic disease, Wolfram Syndrome. Tragically, the son of one of my closest friends was diagnosed with this devastating terminal illness several years ago. We are therefore doing this challenge to raise much-needed funds for the Wolfram Syndrome Charity who, because of the rarity of the disease, struggle to get the charitable funding that they desperately need to fund their vital research

Action Medical Research are an amazing charity which has spent over 70 years funding research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.

By supporting our team you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases including Wolfram Syndrome
