Story
On Friday 7th December, Kealey's little sister Amy, Simon 1's other half, gave birth to a tiny little boy aged just 22.5 weeks. Benjamin George Bowden weighed in at just over 1lb and was the spitting image of his daddy Simon. Sadly, due to his early arrival and low weight, Benjamin lost his battle to live after only 57 minutes.
Cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats is our way of remembering Benjamin and celebrating the short life that he had. It is also a chance for him to make an impact on others by raising valuable monies for the charity Bliss who provide invaluable support for families who give birth to their loved ones too early and as a result are often too small and very poorly.
Cycling 1,000 miles in just 12 days will not be easy! The thought that you as family, friends and colleagues will be supporting every mile through your donation to such a fantastic cause will keep us going as the miles get harder, the hills higher and our bottoms sorer!
Benjamin George will never be forgotten and always in our hearts.
