KEASTON FUNDRAISING DAY DECEMBER 2020 · 1 December 2020

We provide emergency food parcels using red vouchers issued by our referral partners at all three distribution centres. In addition we provide signposting support to try and help clients find long term solutions to their food poverty issues.

Story

On December 14th King Edward VI Aston are holding a "COVID-safe" fundraising non-uniform day for the Aston and Nechells Foodbank.  This charity was one our Head Teacher, Colin Parker, supported and always encouraged the Student Council to help out.  Sadly, Mr Parker died at the end of October, so as well as raising money to help those who need food in our local community, we are raising money for the food bank to remember Mr Parker.

Because we can't do our usual array of fundraising events this term due to COVID-19 (including collecting food donations) we are simply asking students, teachers and their families to donate as much as they can via this Just Giving page between now and DECEMBER 14TH.  You can give as much or as a little as you like, but If every student in the school gave just £3 each we would smash our £2,300 target.  Furthermore - if we do reach that target, as a thank you, students will be given a second non-uniform day on the last day of term, December 18th!  (If the target is not reached by December 14th, normal uniform is to be worn on the last day of term).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
