On Sunday June 5, 2022. I will be joining an intrepid group of riders at the start of the UK Red Empire State 500, a tough six-day cycling challenge raising money for Rugby League Cares.

Over  six amazing days, we will follow the historic Erie Canal eastwards from the famous waterfalls at Niagara to the state capital of New York, Albany, before heading south along the Hudson River on sections of the Appalachian Trail.

The adventure concludes with a ride through the Bronx, Harlem and along Broadway into Manhattan and the finish is the iconic Central Park.

Rugby League Cares is an independent charity that touches on the lives of people involved at every level of the sport.

RL Cares promote mental health education and healthy lifestyle initiatives that are changing and saving lives - I'm involved in programmes like Offload and Movembers Ahead of the Game and see on a daily basis what a positive difference RL cares is making to the fans and supporters of RL and also the children that play in the community game.
