Cambrian Challenge 2009 · 25 October 2009
Twelve teams from across the Royal Air Force have decided to take up this years Cambrian Challenge 2009 event in Crickhowell, Powys.
The Cambrian Challenge 2009 is an adventurous training expedition that is designed to offer individual participants the opportunity to experience the numerous benefits of Adventurous Training (AT). The challenge is organised by FDTC Crickhowell and will expose individuals to significant Force Development Training (FDT) in leadership, communication, team working and developing physical and moral courage.
Each team will be required to complete a 2-day walking expedition of 40 km and a 2-day canoeing expedition of 54 km on a grade 1/2 river, making a total journey of 94 km. Teams will be required to carry/transport sufficient equipment for an overnight camp on each phase
