Keep Fit Association Nominated Charity 2019/2020 · 21 December 2019

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

The Keep Fit Association have always led the way in raising money for a specific charity and 2019/2020 is no exception. We have chosen Parkinson's UK, a charity that works closely with people who have Parkinson's disease, supporting individuals in many ways.

Fund raising was officially launched at our National Championships in Nottingham by Leigh-Beth Stroud of Parkinson's UK and our Charity Champion Manager Maxine Lyons.

The campaign target is to raise over £12,000 for presentation to Parkinson's UK at our National Festival in June 2020 at The Symphony Hall Birmingham.

As we were unable to run the National Festival in 2020 due to the corona virus pandemic we are continuing with our fundraising for Parkinson's UK until we can safely hold the festival at a future date.
