Story
We decided to do the Muddy Dog Challenge for Battersea Dogs (& Cats!) home to help other rehomed dogs like me find their Best Friend Human. I live with my Human, Kuki who enjoys nothing more than Netflix, Deliveroo and tubs of ice cream. Kuki hates participating in any activity that doesn’t involve wearing cat patterned pyjamas and resting her eyes.
I used to live with a family when I was a smaller, but suddenly I was given my P45 without redundancy pay!
Here’s my story as a rehomed dog...
At first, I thought I was going on a jolly outing when Kuki came to get me from the rehome lady! Then suddenly I realised it wasn’t a holiday. I was very upset and frightened at all the new smells, sounds and people. I thought if I just acted like a clown and kept being silly, I could get a bit of attention. I had learnt that getting shouted at is good and nipping made humans shout at me even more! Unfortunately, that plan soon failed. Kuki could tell there was something going on with me and after going to the mean old spoilt-sport behaviour lady, she said I was very anxious. Since then, we’ve been doing team work and I struggle being told what to do but the more reassured and secure I feel, the less anxious and better behaved I am. I’m glad Kuki gave me a chance cos now she’s my best friend!
