Thanks for visiting Keep it in Kent's JustGiving page for the Kent Wildlife Trust.
Keep it in Kent (KiiK) is a campaign that is dedicated to supporting trading between businesses based in, or predominantly working in Kent. Whilst our primary aim is to support economic growth within Kent, we do not underestimate the value of the services provided by the charitable and not-for-profit sectors. And so another important way in which members of KiiK can support our wonderful county is to donate to local charities who are working on behalf of us all.
Founded in 1958, the Kent Wildlife Trust is a registered charity (number 239992) and the leading conservation organisation covering the whole of Kent and Medway.
Halting the degradation of our Kent countryside is one of the most important challenges the Kent Wildlife Trust faces. Their Conservation Team defends Kent and Medway’s natural environment and advises landowners and land managers on how to improve value of their land for wildlife. Their People and Wildlife Team reaches out to children and adults across the county, sharing wildlife knowledge through exciting activities in schools and at five visitor centres and nature reserves. Each year the Kent Wildlife Trust introduces over 12,000 children to the wonders of wildlife and involve many hundreds of adults in the wildlife and natural environment around them. The Reserves Team also takes care of 60 strategically important nature reserves in Kent, covering some 3,000 hectares of land. Each reserve is a special place for wildlife. Staff and volunteers work tirelessly year-round to ensure that these precious sites are maintained.
Making a donating to the Kent Wildlife Trust is just one small way in which Kent businesses can show their appreciation for the inspirational and valuable work they undertake to protect wildlife and wild habitats for everyone to enjoy.
