If this fund raises more than the SHAVE THE FUR fund, then I get to keep my hair AND beard, (but trim them a bit more neatly when they are now!), but still raise cash for my chosen charity.

The big shave will (or won't) take place at 5.30pm on Friday 30 October, with voting closing at 5pm that evening!

Of course, there's a serious side to all this. I am continuing to raise for The Alzheimer's Society, in memory of my beloved Nana. She unfortunately struggled with Alzheimer's in her later years, and I want to be able to help research and support other's in similar situations.

Without her igniting my lifelong interest in plants, I wouldn't be doing some of the fantastic things I am doing with my career today. Thank you, Nana.
