Story

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We are fundraising for CALM.

In March 2016, we lost somebody close to our hearts.
Our challenge is to cycle the distance of the Island of Kefalonia (approx 300 miles). Unfortunately, we won't be cycling in Kefalonia, (or perhaps fortunately, with the heat!!!!) but we are grateful to be able to use the facilities at Marshside Health Club to cover the mileage!

We have chosen Kefalonia as it meant so much to Paul.  He loved spending time in his 2nd home out there. We have shared many happy times on this beautiful Greek Island, and he often dreamt of retiring on sandy beaches drinking ice cold Mythos :-)

Campaign Against Living Miserably is a charity working to help prevent male suicide. We hope to help raise awareness.
CALM provide a helpline where men can pick up the phone, and talk to trained staff confidentially, and anonymously, 7 days a week, from 5pm till midnight. Staff offer support, advice and lend an ear in times of need. We hope that by fundraising for CALM, we are helping to prevent men from suffering in a way which is more common than most of us realise.

They take on average 5000 calls every month.

Did you know that 12 men take their own lives every day in the UK alone?

Please please help where you can by supporting us with our challenge and donating anything you can.

Thank you........ Kefalonia Cycle xxx
