Story
As many of you know I love my running. Whether it be half or full Marathons.
On September 29th I will be running the Cheltenham Half marathon for a very special reason.
Matthew my nephew was born and lived in Cheltenham. Sadly he was diagnosed with an exceptionally rare disease called late infantile batten disease.
Matthew sadly passed away age only 7 in 2009.
I’m running the Cheltenham half marathon in memory of Matthew as it’s his home town and also coming up to the 10th anniversary since he was taken from us.. I will also be wearing bib number 7 to mark 7 years of Matthews short life.
I’ve chosen to support Acorns Children’s Hospice as this incredible charity supported Mel, Chris, Tom and Matthew through their journey of what is the most unimaginable and painful journey.
Acorns children’s hospice supports life limited and life threatened children across the midlands. Our family will always be grateful for their support.
Please if you can donate a little, that would be great in memory of a very special little boy.
Thank you
