Story
Hi everyone,
Keisha and Joudee here! Anyone who knows us is probably aware that we are not "natural" runners and that it must be a very special charity for us to dust off our trainers and pound the streets of London as part of the ASICS London 10k, which is taking place on the 9th July. We're hoping to raise as much money as we can for In-Deep.
Dig deep into your pockets, people. We thank you for supporting us!

In-Deep is a grassroots charity working with isolated older
people and disabled children and their families in Westminster, Lambeth and the
surrounding areas.
They aim to promote friendship and understanding in the
community, and tackle loneliness and isolation by bringing people together to
take part in meaningful activities.
The charity was founded in 2002 by Colin Chapman. Colin had
spent a short period of his life sleeping rough in South Westminster, during
which time he became friends with many older local residents who helped him by
way of kindness. After he came through his own problems, Colin wanted to give
back to the community, so set up In-Deep.
Colin and Emma Chapman (Secretary of In-Deep) have a son
diagnosed with autism and epilepsy. In 2017, In-Deep’s work expanded even
further to begin supporting children with special educational needs and
disabilities (SEND) and their families. Colin and Emma observed the vast
difference that music made when facing challenges on this journey, and this inspired
them to establish In-Deep’s music therapy service.
Lived experience helps In-Deep empathise with service users
and identify gaps in provision where further support is needed.
