Over the past 5 years the same group of guys (of which I'm a member) have been getting together, riding our bikes as well as enjoying the company of our like minded selves and we have raised money for charity. This time it is in memory of one of our original members - John Howson.

At Novera, I had the great pleasure of working closely with John for many years. John's warm and friendly character, zest for life, love of football and his beloved Stoke City (thanks for the numerous copies of the Oatcake John) are fondly remembered by many. The first ride was from London to Liverpool in memory of another dear friend and was embarked upon as a result of Johns recommendation/nagging and enthusiasm for cycling.

Unfortunately John lost his short battle with Cancer at the young age of 51 and we are all making this trip to help raise some money for the hospital that cared for him and of course to remember his life.
