I will be running the Marathon des Sables from 27 March -1 April 2022, widely regarded as the ‘Toughest Footrace on Earth’. 6 marathons over 6 days across the Sahara desert with daily temperatures reaching 50ºC. Although it will be physically and mentally tough, it does not compare with the daily challenges faced by many men, women and children who receive support from the two charities that I will be raising money for. 

The Felix Fund is one of these charities. They support serving personnel, veterans and their families with welfare support and financial assistance. Everyday, UK bomb disposal and search personnel face high-pressure situations and this continued exposure to intense stress can have lasting effects both mentally and physically.
