Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On May 14th 2023 I will be running my first and only marathon The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon with funds raised going to The Norfolk,Norwich and Waveney Branch of MND Association.

* 17/05/23 With thanks to all you kind people - £2000 has been raised for the Association 🙌 and any donations past this amount will be for the important work of MND Research*

The Association supports people with MND ,their carers and family by providing specialist equipment and contact with MND care professionals.Their social meetings bring people together to share their experiences and support, making them feel not alone with the difficulties that Motor Neurone Disease descends on them.

Former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in December 2019. Since then, Rob and his family have campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to support other families living with MND.

The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will see 7,777 participants (7 being Rob’s shirt number) take on a route through Leeds that starts and finishes at Headingley Stadium.
