Day 16 Aviemore to Carbisdale 81.6 miles feel as though I have been savaged by a gorilla, great scenery though.

I'm a volunteer with Remap and a keen cyclist so it seemed obvious to ride from Land's End to John o'Groats and raise money for this great charity at the same time.
Remap is a charity that works very hard behind the scenes to help people with disabilities and make their lives easier, more fulfilling and more dignified. Imagine being a disabled mum who can't take her own baby out in its pushchair. Imagine being a child and not being able to ride a bicycle. Imagine being unable to use the bathroom or toilet without assistance. Imagine losing the ability to take part in a much-loved hobby. Then imagine how much joy you would feel if someone tailor-made a piece of equipment specially for you to make these things possible. That's what we at Remap do - we are engineers and craftsmen, many of us retired, who love using our skills and experience to help people find the independence they crave. And we charge them nothing.
There are thousands of people all over the country who can benefit from Remap's help. I would love our network to grow to make this possible, and that's why I'm doing this cycle ride. I shall be celebrating my 72nd birthday during this 1000 mile ride. Please help me celebrate by sponsoring me.
