Caterham and Lotus Seven Club are proud to support Prostate Cancer Research as their new charity partner, helping to create a future free from the impacts of prostate cancer.

Story

I'm fundraising as part of the Caterham and Lotus Seven Club to support Prostate Cancer Research.

I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer last December and have benefitted from the amazing improvement in treatments available as a result of work by entities like Prostate Cancer Research. Until you are personally affected you do not realise how treatments have developed even in the past 5 years. I am hoping I will be able to complete the 100 miles, but as the radiotherapy treatment will only finish 8 days before the ride, some think I am being ambitious!

Update 14/5/2022

The radiotherapy is going well, but due to some delays caused by a Bank Holiday and a couple of days where the machines were offline for maintenance, the treatment won't end until the 25th May, just 4 days before RideLondon 100. I have been given strong medical advice that I shouldn't do the ride on the 29th. I will do something similar, when the doctors say it is ok for me to do so.
