Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and helping wheels for all who offer thrilling and fun opportunities for everyone, including those with disabilities and restricted mobility.
My mate Rocky and I are going to take on the Maverick inov-8 Snowdonia Ultra - Why you ask?
On my 50th birthday I jokingly told Lexi my daughter I would run every day for a year to make good use of the shiny new Fitbit they had bought me, “You won’t” she said, “you’ll forget to run one day” 253 days later I still haven’t forgotten but moreover the run every day for 365 days has been transformed into a training plan to hopefully complete a 63km Ultra Marathon including two ascents of Snowdon on the very last of 365 consecutive days of running.
Suitably “impressed” by this challenge my good buddy Rocheford “Rocky” Pearson has signed up for the race in support also, he may be doing a shorter version with only one ascent of Snowdon but for somebody who has religiously followed the advice to “only run when being chased” for most of his life his challenge is probably greater than mine.
Please support Solihull Wheels for all by sponsoring us and make all the aching limbs, blisters and lonely long training runs worth it.
Solihull Wheels for all provides inclusive cycling for all - including enabling people with a disability or restricted mobility to experience the thrill and fun of wheeled recreation.
As President J.F. Kennedy said “Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of riding a bike”, please help Wheels for All help those who wouldn’t otherwise enjoy this simple pleasure.
