Story

On Friday 5th August I shall reach my big 8-0.

Please support my 80th Birthday Walk - already with the support of Stockport County. I shall go from Stockport Town Hall to County’s ground at Edgeley Park - and then on to the training ground at Carrington. A distance of 10.5 miles.

It’s bit of an adventure for me - but much more than that.

Please sponsor me in support of Forever Friends of Uganda

The girls and boys have gone through two awful years of school closure during lockdown. They have suffered, the schools have suffered. We desperately need to make up for lost time and ensure that these children with nothing have not lost too much of their childhood or of their education.

Stockport County has generously helped us this year. First of all with a presentation at a pre-match meal with the corporate supporters and now with this fundraiser.

Why should they do this? Quite simply it is because of the incredible support for Forever Friends of Uganda from County fans. Half of our Trustees are County supporters, and then there are many more who are child sponsors, members and donors.
