Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I served 18 years in the Army and am walking in memory and honour of my former good friend and Army comrade WO1 (ASM/Art Wpns...former Gun Fitter) Jim (Geordie) Bradwell, REME, who lost his life in a bombing in Northern Ireland on 11th October 1996. Also in memory of Sgt Mick Dutton, (REME), who, I understand, died of a heart attack following a BFT in 1986(?). With respect to former and current good friends and Army comrades, Andy Heighway (9th/12th Royal Lancers), Stan Preston (RAOC), Chris Dove (REME) and Tom Young (1 Royal Irish Rangers and REME) who are currently fighting severe illnesses and in memory of my Uncle, Gunner Stan Sharp, Royal Artillery, who was KIA in Holland during WW2 on 25th September 1944. In short, in memory of all my former Army comrades who have since passed on or are experiencing an illness battle. ABF The Soldiers' Charity (formerly the Army Benevolent Fund) raises money for serving soldiers, veterans and their families  in times of need and I can accept online donations up to and including 31st DECEMBER 2016.
