Run 1,000 - One Thousand days of running! · 25 September 2017

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.

Story

I am nearing the end of a challenge to run 1,000 days (on
day 965 as I write this) which is due to finish on the 25th Sept
2017. So far I have run a total of over 4,850km which averages out at 5km per day.

Through the time, I have completed over 20 events, ranging
from a 10k right up to a full distance Ironman Triathlon and shamefully not raised any money for Charity!

I am collecting money for the Meningitis Research Foundation
as this is a deadly disease, which in 2008 very nearly took the life of my younger sister Andrea – she was literally minutes away from dying and they managed to pull her back. Thankfully she is now fit and healthy and fully recovered.
