Each year more than 11,000 men die from prostate cancer - that's one man dying every 45 minutes. Given the statistics, I'm scrapping the 10,000 step challenge and instead walking 11,000 steps a day for the month of September. They money raised by this challenge will fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.

Prostate Cancer has recently entered my life and I've experienced first hand the effects this can have on the ones you love. 

Sadly it was not caught quickly enough and therefore spread which means my dad has a double fight on his hands. 

I'm taking part to do my bit. Raising some money for Prostate Cancer UK to help them beat this horrible illness. 

My friends, family and colleagues have been wonderfully supportive during this time but having access to the right information was also key to navigating this journey.
