Rotary clubs across the bay fund raise to support local and international charities. 

I am the Chairman of the team at Preston (Torbay)  Rotary Club responsible for Community and Youth and I am cycling the equivalent mileage from Preston (Torbay) to Lands End but doing it at the Goodrington Velopark where our big Family Rotary Ride will take place on Saturday 15th June 

  I have not been on a bike since 1998 so doing more than 100 miles is a bit daunting and I will spread the journey over a few days before 15th June. The guys at the Velopark are immensely supportive and are lending me a bike and gear as my bike has hung on the garage wall for almost 20 years and wouldn't cover 100 yards let alone 100 miles .

All sponsorship I can raise from this will go with all funds raised related to the Rotary Ride to Torbay Prostate Support Association who are fundraising to buy a multi-parametric MRI scanner used for the early detection of Prostate Cancer which will be located at Torbay Hospital. They need £110000 for this and have done brilliantly to get to £61000 - we want to raise the remaining £50000 with your help. 

I hope to get matched funding and if I achieve this everything you donate for my ride will be worth twice as much.
