The 3 Amigo's (aka Kelis, Curtis and Mum Helen) have signed up with Superhero Series to complete the At Home Super Heroes challenge covering a minimum distance of 20km over a period of one month!!

It’s big. It’s bold. It’s gutsy. It’s the UK’s one and only disability sports series for the Everyday Superhero! Their mission is simple: to create fun, full-throttle mass-participation sports events where people with disabilities (AKA Everyday Superheroes) call the shots and don’t have to worry about cut-off times or equipment restrictions.

We will be completing this challenge on bikes (with mum running behind like Phoebe from friends!!!). All 3 of us will complete the distance of 20km (and hopefully more) and I will provide updates of this across our socials by sharing our 'Map My Ride' stats.

We have chosen to do this challenge on bikes as this is something Kelis gets great joy from, while also being an amazing therapy exercise for her! It's an activity that makes her feel powerful, giving her the confidence to succeed and push through barriers!! This challenge will prove to Kelis just how far she has come and how much she has achieved, against all odds. Any funds raised will go straight back into Kelis's therapy funds so that she can continue smashing through the milestones we were once told she would never meet. Quote from a consultant when Kelis was 5 days old "If she survives she'll spend her life in a vegetative state"

We know that this is a difficult time, but any amount, however small really does make such a difference.
