Max was a family member. At 10 years old he was diagnosed with an intramedullary pilocytic astrocytoma. An operation and radiotherapy helped to stabilise the tumour but this led to Max developing kyphoscoliosis which had to be corrected with spinal fusions when he was 13 years old.  Just before Max's 16th birthday the tumour became active again and he began an 18 month journey with chemotherapy, radiotherapy & several operations.  Sadly the tumour became aggressive and he then found out he had a second aggressive tumour, this time in his brain.  MAX WAS 17 YEARS OLD WHEN HE SADLY PASSED AWAY and I am running to raise funds for his charity MAX IN A MILLION to enable them to help others.
