Having never run more than 5k before I made the decision at the start of the year that I was going to do a half marathon! This is going to be TOUGH and I'm still not quite sure how I'm going to manage it, but if I can raise some money for Nottingham Rape Crisis then I know it'll be worth it in the end. 

Nottingham Rape Crisis provide vital support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse and their families within Nottinghamshire. As well as providing face to face counselling, they operate a helpline for women and men that need emotional support and information.

I don't need to tell you how important services like these are - not just for survivors but also for the people in their lives that support them. Rape is a devastating crime, but unfortunately not at all uncommon. 1 in 5 women will experience sexual abuse in their lifetime, so it's imperative that we have organisations like Rape Crisis. Cuts to funding have made it so that charities are more heavily dependent on donations from the public, so I'd like to raise as much money as possible to support them. PLEASE DIG DEEP!
