From 7th Feb - 8th March I am pledging to 'step out' for a total of 10km a day - either by running, walking, or swimming. I've chosen this distance to signify the 10,000 people currently on Rape Crisis waiting lists.

I am fundraising for Rape Crisis England & Wales to stand in solidarity with victims and survivors of sexual violence and abuse. Rape and sexual abuse are devastating crimes but unfortunately are not at all uncommon. 20% of women have experienced some type of sexual assault since the age of 16*.

By stepping out every day for 30 days I am helping Rape Crisis England & Wales to continue their vital work:

- Directly supporting victims and survivors and providing information
- Promoting the needs and rights of women and girls who have experienced sexual abuse, rape, and all forms of sexual violence
- Raising awareness of sexual violence and abuse in the wider community and with government.
- Driving excellence within Rape Crisis Centres via National Service Standards
