Bradley was born 5th November 2018 - my little bonfire night baby!  Two weeks later I received a call from the hospital advising the heel prick test had come back showing Bradley had Congenital Hypothyroidism and I needed to take him to hospital immediately for us both to have further tests.  Not knowing what any of this meant, we rushed to hospital.  

Long story short, when Brad was in my womb, his thyroid gland didn't reach his throat, instead it stopped at the back of his tongue.  Without any treatment or care from the NHS, it would mean that Brad would grow up with deafness, growth problems and learning difficulties.  But thanks to the NHS for testing for this condition and the care we receive from Noah's Ark, a simple blood test every 3 months means Brad has the right daily medication and will live a perfectly normal healthy life, without any complications.

Brad and I will walk, run and jump in muddy puddles for 1 mile in order to raise money for the incredible work Noah's Ark provide.
