I am running the Great North Run on September the 8th this year in aid of Fibromyalgia Action UK.

This is a complex illness and is widely misunderstood. My partner was diagnosed in 2015 having suffered chronic symptoms for two years. It is life changing for us both, there is no cure and symptoms are progressive. Living with pain and fatigue, amongst various other symptoms, is constant battle which many suffer in silence.

I am hoping I can raise some cash and help raise awareness so that people can be diagnosed quicker and treatments are more effective. I am proud of Helen for what she has overcome so far and I really hope, with more funds, research and support, one day she can run a half marathon alongside me.
