Story

I’m doing the Man versus Horse race (https://www.green-events.co.uk/index.php?mvh_main) in mid Wales in June this year.

This is a marathon-length challenge between runners and horse riders over some typically tricky mountainous Welsh countryside.

Despite being neither man nor horse, I am 40 this year and I decided a couple of years ago, having completed a few half marathons, that I wanted a significant challenge for this significant year.

Originally I was just doing it for the personal challenge.

But when my Dad died suddenly at the end of 2017 I decided to raise funds for his favourite charity, The Royal British Legion.

My focus and strength for this challenge will come from the deep love I have for this ultimate hero and I know I'll make him proud.
