My name is Kelly-Jayne Wells and I am a woman living in the male dominated world of Motor Racing.  I am 33 years of age and have been competing for the last 22 years. I am currently racing in the Pickup Truck Racing Championship, in which I have been quite successful over the last few years with race wins, podium places and lap records. I race on road circuits and on a mile and half oval. As you can see my Hot Pink truck isn’t very hard to miss!

This year, at all my racing meetings, you will see the Cancer Research UK “Race for Life” logo on my pickup truck.  My aim in using this logo is to bring awareness of cancers that affect all women and the additional butterfly design is specific to cervical cancer. I made contact with Cancer Research UK in February and donated space on my pickup truck to the charity.  I felt like I wanted to help bring awareness and as much exposure as possible through the racing I have done most of my life, seeing as it is such a big part of who I am. I have personally been affected by cancer and I also lost my Nan to cancer last October. I know there are many more people out there that have been affected by the disease.

I will be taking part in running “Race for Life” myself, alongside the truck racing, and through out the year we will be raising money for the charity. Please help me with your donation.
