The Blossom Appeal is run by the Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity and I am running the Virtual London Marathon on 3rd October 2021 to help them raise funds to build a new Breast Care Centre.

In September 2016, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was 44 and had no family history of the disease. After surgery and radiotherapy treatment under the care of our incredible team at Colchester Hospital, and with fantastic support from my friends and family, I've been cancer free for nearly five years. 

I am proud to support The Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity with its plans to build a multi-million pound modern Breast Care Centre where state-of-the-art care can be delivered to all patients.  The new centre will bring all elements of breast care at Ipswich Hospital under one roof for the first time and provide an environment where patients can be imaged, biopsied where necessary, and see their clinician in one appointment without the need to get dressed and undressed several times.
