Story
On May 17th 2015 i will be jumping 10,000 ft out of an airplane. I'm doing this because its always been one to tick of my list and through doing that i'm hoping to raise as much money as i can for The Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation.
After meeting The Waterman's back in 2008 through looking after their girls when they started at Hopscotch nursery, i got to know the family really well , babysitting the girls regularly. Throughout my time knowing them i feel i got to know their older brother/son Oakley who sadly passed away in 2005 from a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomysarcoma.
I know this year is a really big year for them as it is their 10th anniversary at Church Farm Caravan Park and 10 years their beautiful son sadly passed away. I knew this year was my year to help them to meet their goal of raising at least £80,000 to help them to purchase a new caravan to replace their current one which after 10 years of use with lots of other poorly children and their families staying in it it needs to be replaced.
Honestly every little penny will all add up and help this wonderful family to not only keep Oakley's wish alive but will also continue to help out all the poorly children with their families to get away from their homes and hospitals that they may be stuck in a lot and to get away and enjoy some well needed and deserved family time and enjoy a holiday altogether.
