Story

Thank you for taking the the time to visit my just giving page.

I will be doing my first charity walk for MacMillan on the 14th of October. I will be trying to walk the 10km from Battersea Park to South West London (probably with a few breaks!!)

I am writing to ask you to support me in aid of this amazing charity as it continually supports people with cancer, families of those living with cancer, those who have passed away with cancer and those who may sadly find out that they have this horrible disease. Any small donation 50p a pound anything at all will help towards accomplishing my goal to raise money for this charity. Thank you so much 🩷

My story

As many people are unaware I was unfortunately diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in September 2020. Unbeknown to me the small little mole on my upper left side of my shoulder had turned cancerous and had spread to my lymph node! Guys hospital have been more amazing than I can put into words they had me straight in for surgery and I had a skin fold and my lymph node removed. Christmas Eve I was called in and I was given the all clear which couldn’t been more of a best Christmas present! I had a years worth of immunotherapy to eliminate the risk of any other cells that might be lurking and after that regular scans and check ups with my team. All seemed well and positive but sadly after my last scans in march this year they told me I needed to come in urgently where I found out that it once again had come back and terrifyingly it had spread to my bones and my liver! This time it is stage 4! Again guys hospital, MacMillan and everyone involved in the dermatology department have been my angels in disguise and had whizzed me through for treatment which I will continue to take for the long road. Guys hospital and macmillan have and will continue to be my safety blanket. Without their support, my family and my friends I don’t think I could face getting out of bed. But it is true in what they say and the human spirit cannot and will not be knocked by this horrible degrading disease! So everyday I am basically blocking it out as much as I can and still living like I’m 21….or trying to 😎

Please help me with trying to raise money for every single soul living with cancer, for every family member dealing with it and those who we fondly remember who have been taken from us.

Lots of love and God Bless Kelly 💚
