Story
Blood,
Sweat and Punchlines
I once knocked out a Champion Boxer you know………………………..
I’m still banned from Crufts!
Welcome everyone!
What better thing could I do for Charity than to potentially
get punched in the face numerous times! What can I say, I like a challenge and be able to raise as much money as I possibly can
for such a well-deserved Charity. It is going to bit a little bit of fun, and I
want you all to feel the blood sweat and tears I’m sure I will shed over the next 8 weeks, but also laugh with me through this bonkers time.
I am going to be completely honest with you in saying……. This was not fully my idea! Truthfully, I walked into the NMAX gym in Dorchester. A close friend of mine girls partakes in Martial arts and and Seb goes to little leaders there. Before you know it, with the help of my darling friend, Nic ( Organiser) was talking about how extremely fit you get.... then errrrrrrr SOLD
I suppose you can say
now, once everything dawned on me the nerves kicked it. Wait a second…. I am going to have to train up to 6 times a week? I have 99 problems and burpees are every single one of them! I have to stop drinking? I drink water sometimes to surprise my liver!
and I have to watch my diet? I don’t mean to brag but I
finished my 14 day diet in 3 hours and 12 minuets!
All jokes aside, I am going to have to push myself, my mind
and body more than I ever have, but my word I am excited. I am going to be 40 this year and I want to be fitter, stronger and more determined than ever.
On a serious note, I want to tell you about the Charity I am
doing this for.
Weldmar Hospicecare is an independent charity only
working in Dorset. 21% of their funds are provided by the NHS – 79% of their
funds are raised thanks to the support of the local community.
Weldmar Hospicecare cares for patients with cancer
and other progressive conditions, such as motor neurone disease, who require their specialist help.
They aim to ensure all patients needing end of life
care in Dorset have access to excellent services delivered when and where needed whether by Weldmar, or by others supported by them. They work alongside their colleagues in health and social care to ensure that we meet the individual needs of patients and their families. All services are provided free of charge.
Myself and so many close to me have lost friends,
family members to these awful illnesses and to help make there last weeks, months, years that just little bit easier then I am going to help as much as I possibly can.
