Story
I’m running my first ever half marathon, London Landmarks 2026, to raise money for Different Strokes.
Earlier this year, my dad suffered a stroke. It was a very worrying time for our family, but thanks to the amazing support he received at the hospital, particularly from all of the physio and speech therapists at the stroke unit, he has made incredible progress in his recovery.
I want to give something back by supporting Different Strokes, a UK charity who supports younger stroke survivors and their families. During my dad’s time in hospital, I saw firsthand how strokes can affect people of all ages. Different Strokes provides vital support through peer groups, rehabilitation, and practical resources to help survivors rebuild their lives.
Taking on 13.1 miles will be a huge personal challenge for me, but knowing that every step I run will help others going through what my dad has experienced will keep me going on race day.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to me and my family.
Thank you for your support 🩵
