Story
We need your help to support children and young people who are experiencing bereavement in the Wyre Forest and surrounding areas. The aim is to raise £30,000 in 30 weeks to support children and young people who are experiencing bereavement in the Wyre Forest and surrounding areas.
This will enable us to provide local children and young people with residential breaks, group sessions and memorial events. These activities are all aimed at building confidence and helping them come to terms with their loss. It will also help to provide training, advice and support for staff in schools.
Jackie Turner, Children’s and Family worker at the Hospice explains, “Dealing with the death of a loved one can be a very difficult time, particularly for children. All of our services are aimed at helping children through the grieving process. To see the positive impact these services can have on a child’s life and to know you are making a difference is really moving.”
