The Turbo Trust provides the most versatile and advanced technology available – powerchairs which give three-dimensional motion. We aim to provide each individual with the greatest possible range of movement to access as much of their environment and take as active a part in life as possible.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

Later this year I will be cycling from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The 200 mile cycle trip along the Avenue Verte is a personal challenge and will be the longest cycle trip I have undertaken.

As I told people about the trip they asked if I was doing it for a charity. Although it is a personal challenge (I have already covered all the expenses), I'm very happy to raise funds for The Turbo Trust, a charity I have supported for many years.

The Turbo Trust provides independent mobility through the funding of individually designed powerchairs. Over the years I have seen the transformation in many people as a result of this mobility equipment (see http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-28044341) and I want to continue helping The Turbo Trust.

Donations will directly help people like Laya, Leroy, Kenzie or the others featured on The Turbo Trust's main Just Giving page. The cost of each elevating powerchair, including a five year support package, is about £20,000. Whilst it would be great to raise this amount, my target is a bit more modest and ties in to the distance!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you very much for your interest and support. Please watch out for news of the challenge.
