For the last 3 years I've witnessed a complete change in my mother who could out-walk, out-talk and out-laugh the rest of us. For the the previous 15 years my Mum had looked out for my Dad after he had major heart surgery. Now its his turn to look after her and this he does without a complaint to anyone. It is a difficult job for him emotionally and physically and how he copes amazes us. Alzheimer Scotland provide him with someone to sit with Mum twice a week, while he nips out to do the shopping, get his hair cut, watch the birds....without this support it would be very difficult for him to get out at all.
