Story
A group of us from Year 11 at Kendrick School are running the Cancer Research Race for Life on the 7th July in memory of our teacher Mrs Hume who passed away from an aggressive cancer on 25th November 2012.
She was hugely inspirational to all the students at Kendrick and loved to share her passion for history with all her classes. Her incredible love of learning just for learning's sake is something all of us at Kendrick drew great inspiration from. She is greatly missed and we wanted to take this oppurtunity to do something in memory of her. Mrs Hume, as well as being an amazing teacher in the classroom, was also a fantastic sportswoman and would often lead her staff team to victory on Sports Day. By doing the Race for Life we not only hope to raise money for this great charity but also do something we can be proud of in memory of a woman that we should all aspire to be like.
