Story
We're raising funds for Tommy's baby charity. An amazing charity who's research and work is saving babies lives everyday. They are the largest charity funding research into the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.
We are very lucky to live near one of the three Tommy's National Early Miscarriage Centre's (in Coventry Hospital). The centres are led by Professor Quenby; whom I was lucky to have as my consultant for both my little girls.
My Story - (Miranda de Freston)
We lost a baby at 7 weeks, then twins at 9 and then 16 weeks (a little girl we called Lilly). All our pregnancies were through IVF and sadly at the time we didnt know I had a blood clotting disorder which meant I would have been highly unlikely to carry a baby full term without help.
Losing a baby at any stage is devestating and I have gone on to meet many familes (and close friends) who have been affected by miscarriage and also still birth. It's something that stays with you forever.
For me I tried to take the love I felt for the babies I lost and the heart ache in losing Lilly and used it to fight to find out why. I am very lucky that with help and support of Professor Quenby with a stitch, blood thinners, lots of hormones and a serious amount of monitoring we are now parents to two rainbow babies; Emily (3) and Pippa (10 months).
So this fundraising is for all the little ones that didnt make it or were lost way too soon. #neverforgotten
PLEASE DONATE to help this worthy cause and help us run even faster.
