Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am not one of those crazy cycling enthusiasts who spend their weekend in Lycra for sport or pleasure. I had never been on a 'road bike' until my training started just a few weeks ago. But I did want to mark my 50th year on the planet by doing something out of my comfort zone which would be a physical challenge while raising money for a wonderful cause.

A few years ago one of our closest family friends inexplicably lost a beautiful little girl, just 18 months old. She went to sleep one night and never woke up. The devastated family and friends wanted to do something to keep Orly's memory alive. They set up a children's charity in Orly's name to assist young people with disabilities and to help other poorly children in need.

I am covering the cost of my own trip, so that all donations will go directly to the charitable trust.

However small, your donation is much appreciated.
