Story
In September 2024, I sadly lost my Mum to cancer, after a 2 and a half year battle. This amazing woman fought right to the end, never giving up and still devoting her life to her family, friends and to others going through the same battle.
She was, and still is, a true inspiration and a hero in my eyes.
The team at Marie Curie, particularly at the end provided such amazing care, and dignity, of which my Mum was ever so grateful.
One day we will overcome this terrible disease, which affects 1 in every 2 people on this planet, but until then, we need to provide the funds to enable the amazing people at places like Marie Curie to look after our loved ones at the time when the need it most.
Katrina and I will be undertaking the 'big stroll' Kiltwalk (23 miles), from Glasgow Green to the shores of Loch Lomond, my Mum's favourite place, to raise funds on behalf of this wonderful charity.
Anything you can spare would be very much appreciated, and will go a long way to help charities, like Marie Curie, provide the essential end of life care of which they are renowned.
Katrina and I would also like to thank each and everyone of you, as would Maggie (my amazing Mum).
